FIXit Services: The Niche.
Agencies offering technological support in a variety of fields abound in Grahamstown. However, these Agencies are almost all (excepting a few service-only garages) mainly interested in supplying new equipment. Their service departments generally take days rather than hours to respond to service requests. In addition their charges are relatively high: They have to be since they employ salaried staff and generally use rented premises: Their 'overheads' are significant.
FIXit Services aims to fill the niche (and the need) for a fast response at a reasonable cost. I am retired after a lifetime spent in engineering. I have wide experience and am also very creative. Depending on my current work schedule I will expect to respond to your need on the same day as your request, and hopefully within an hour or so. My hourly rate is R100-00 per hour with a 25% discount for pensioners and students. Travel is charged at R 5-00 per km within Grahamstown. FIXit Services operates on a "No Cure, No Pay" basis.
